Vasilis Vasilarakis

A few words about me
I am Vasilis Vasilarakis, a sports physiotherapist specializing in sports medicine.
My work focuses on physiotherapy and injury rehabilitation, applying modern and evidence-based methods. The goal is not only recovery, but also returning to a higher level of functionality and performance.v
I studied Physiotherapy at the University of Patras and completed my Master’s degree in Sports Medicine at the University of Gothenburg in Sweden. Throughout my professional career, I have worked with high-level athletes such as Vassilis Spanoulis, Kostas Sloukas, Evina Maltsi, and Tasos Avlonitis.v
Today, I am the founder of Physiovita Rehabilitation Clinic in Karpathos — a state-of-the-art rehabilitation center that welcomes patients of all levels, as well as high-level athletes during the summer who choose it for their rehabilitation.
At the same time, I am active in Athens, where I work both with professional athletes—mainly runners and endurance athletes—as well as with people who want to return to their daily lives without pain or limitations.
I train healthcare professionals in the Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) method and actively participate in research activities in the field of sports rehabilitation.
I believe that movement is a fundamental part of treatment. The goal is not simply pain reduction, but returning as a stronger and better-prepared version of yourself.
Running is an integral part of my daily life. I am an active marathon runner and the founder of Physiovita Running Club, a community of more than 50 athletes who train with the goal of improvement and consistency. Through coaching guidance, I help runners of all levels develop, prepare for races, and build a more effective and sustainable relationship with training.
